First of all...I got commissioned (very fancy Methodist talk), so now I am officially a Reverend! Oh YEA! That happened in June but leading up to that moment, there were lots of papers, preparation, interviewing, and 19 years worth of school (NBD!), but it ultimately culminated in a beautiful service of blessing in Virginia. What does it mean to be commissioned? Well that's a long, long story, which I'd love to tell you, but this blog is strictly for updates, so maybe next time (to calm your anxiety and anticipation here's a fun link to learn more: http://www.gbhem.org/clergy/provisional-membership). Don't worry, I'm wearing a child's robe in that picture (I saved money and the cost of alterations!). I promise I will definitely write more about "being a pastor" sometime soon!
In a September, I celebrated 10 years of being on a journey toward healthier living! It's been hard and awesome! but mostly hard (just kidding...not really) Cue celebratory music!Oh, I almost forgot...I got MURRIED (sp?!)...and we went on to Ireland on our honeymoon (my favorite place!!!! with my favorite person!!!!)
That was all in October, and the subsequent holidays flew by with a sea of red sweaters and delicious treats...did someone say treats? where?
Love you a latte!
